Proper Trash Disposal

  • Feb 20
  • 1 min read

Good afternoon PCOA,

Please see the pictures below of trash that was blown around the community today while awaiting American Disposal to come for collection. PCOA Management and the Board would like to remind everyone that the Rules and Regulations of the Association stipulate that all trash must be store in the proper receptable and that loose trash (and recycling) and bagged trash is not permitted per section 7.20 of the Declaration and in the Design Guidelines.

Declaration

Section 7.20 Trash Receptacles and Collection. Trash shall be collected and stored in trash receptacles and not solely in plastic bags. Trash and garbage receptacles shall not be permitted to remain in public view except on days of trash collection, except those receptacles designed for trash accumulation located in the Common Area or in the Common Elements of a condominium. No accumulation or storage of litter, new or used building materials, or trash of any kind shall be permitted except as otherwise provided above.

Design Guidelines

TRASH/RECYCLING CONTAINERS  – Trash/Recycling Containers do not require approval. Trash cans and recycling containers must be stored out of view of the street or adjoining properties at all times, except on scheduled pickup days. Containers should be placed out at curbside very early in the morning on pick up days or after dark the evening before.

Please help keep PCOA beautiful by storing your trash and recycling as directed. Bagged trash and recycling and loose boxes get blown throughout the community which requires the HOA to pay a vendor for non-contract services to collect the loose trash.

Thank you,

Management
